Itto Tsume: Mate in One

Five tsume shogi puzzles on a full 9x9 board, from easy to hard. Each one is mate in one: find the single move that checkmates the King. Move a piece or drop one from your hand, and decide whether to promote. Get it right and the game proves the mate by playing out every defense. Miss it and you see exactly how the King escapes before moving on. All five puzzles are always shown, and each has exactly one solution. Score: 20 points per puzzle solved.
